The cordierite (Ker51 O) is a decorated stone (Lecce stone). For its excellent electrical and thermal proprieties, cordierite is recommended in many applications. The main characteristics of cordierite are:
- electrica I insulation
- thermal shock resistance
- corrosion resistance
- use of high temperatures

Being a rocky material, it is also easy to be painted and covered with color.
